1920’s Antique 20” Compo Mama Doll Tin Eyes Human Hair Wig Deep Cheek Dimples!

PLEASE READ! You are buying as is! Please ask any questions before bidding. I am not a dealer or a shop owner just a doll lover downsizing in retirement. I purchased this doll at an auction here in Indiana many years ago. It was those dimples and that grin that got me and I just wanted to keep her original as a representative of the dolls that my grandmothers most likely knew. She has two little white teeth that are painted In her open closed mouth. For her age she is in very good condition. She is all original paint with light crazing on the face arms and legs. The legs have some deeper cracking on the seams and a paint chip missing near the knee. She still has all her fingers and toes. She has a paint rub on her nose most likely from all the years of loving. Her beautiful original blue green tin eyes still open and close well. She has small cracks; one on each eye and still has her original painted eyelashes. Her wig is in very poor condition she’s lost a lot of hair through the years just like we do but it is original. Her dress is original to her time, and undergarment is original also but an unusual jumpsuit type with an attached slip. Both made from old cotton batiste with no closing mechanisms, as they used Safety pins for doll clothes back then. Her shoes and stockings are vintage and true to the style of the day but are most likely replacements. She has no markings. This doll is a wonderful representation of the dolls of yesteryears and our heritage. If you should win this auction please pay within three days and thank you so very much for reading everything!
